iSense® - Intelligent machine monitoring and condition monitoring

With iSense, isoloc offers a sensory machine bearing system that enables machine monitoring and condition monitoring directly at the base of the machine. iSense records precise vibration and load data during production, test operation and subsequent use by the user. This data provides a deep understanding of the real machine behaviour and forms the basis for higher quality, optimised designs and a sustainable increase in machine availability.

In contrast to conventional vibration isolation solutions, iSense combines mechanical function with intelligent sensor technology. The machine mounting itself thus becomes a measuring system and continuously provides relevant information about the condition, load and changes during operation.

The advantages of iSense

  • Sensor-integrated machine support system for continuous detection of vibrations and loads
  • Machine monitoring directly at the interface to the foundation, where real forces and movements occur
  • Central basis for condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance
  • Early detection of irregularities, wear and anomalies during operation
  • Can already be used in the production and test phase of machines for quality assurance and optimisation
  • Valuable measurement data for design, dimensioning and simulation based on real operating conditions
  • Can be flexibly integrated as a stand-alone system or in existing automation and IT environments
  • Scalable for different machine and system concepts
  • Added value for machine manufacturers and users thanks to higher availability, reduced complaints and new service potential

Machine monitoring that does more than just display statuses

Machine monitoring with iSense means making the actual behaviour of a machine visible under real conditions. The system records vibration-related variables as well as static and dynamic loads directly where they occur. This allows conclusions to be drawn about point loads, load distributions, shifts in the centre of gravity and irregularities during operation.

This form of machine monitoring goes far beyond point measurements. Changes in vibration behaviour, external interference or the onset of wear are detected at an early stage. Machine users benefit from significantly higher operational reliability, while machine manufacturers gain valuable insights for design, dimensioning and quality assurance.

Condition monitoring as the basis for predictive maintenance

iSense is a powerful basis for modern condition monitoring. By continuously recording and analysing sensor data, changes in condition can be reliably detected and evaluated. Deviations from the normal condition do not only become visible in the event of a failure, but also at an early stage.

In this way, iSense supports the transition from reactive or purely interval-based maintenance to data-based maintenance. Machines can be serviced specifically when it is actually necessary. This reduces unplanned downtime, extends the service life of components and lowers the total cost of ownership.

Added value for machine manufacturers as early as the production phase

The benefits of iSense are not only realised when it is used in the end customer's production environment, but also during the manufacture and testing of machines and systems. In the test environment, the system provides sound findings on function, process behaviour and wear development. Designs can be evaluated and optimised on the basis of real load and vibration data instead of relying solely on theoretical assumptions.

The data obtained can be used for simulations, advanced analytics and the further development of machine generations. At the same time, objective proof of quality is created, which helps machine manufacturers to avoid complaints, warranty claims or recalls.

Flexible integration, scalable and future-proof

iSense can be used as a stand-alone system or integrated into existing machine and IT environments. The system is preconfigured, easy to install and flexibly scalable. The recorded data can be stored, visualised and further processed via common industrial interfaces. Cloud solutions, remote access and automated notifications enable location-independent machine monitoring.

In this way, iSense adapts to both individual machines and complex system structures and grows with the requirements of modern industrial applications.
