patented machine installation technology

Advantages for you:

A precise levelling of today's machines is necessary to ensure the handover at tool change systems or chained machines, to minimize tilting movements due to imbalance, to ensure the exact load at all setup points and to provide accuracy at long machines with less inherently stiffened machine beds.

To meet these high requirements, a levelling element with very little adjustment torques is needed to level even the smallest level differences.

The patented construction of the Universal Precision Machine Shoes UMS enables an absolutely easy and jerk-free adjustment of the levelling wedge in dimensions of 1/100 mm even at maximum load.

Tensile and compressive forces

The tensile and compressive forces at the levelling spindle caused by adjustments lead to counter-forces / moments at the guide bolt, which result in a tilting guide bolt in case of normal levelling spindles without double-bearing, which, furthermore, pushes the levelling spindle out of the centre position.

This can lead to excessive tensions and increased adjustment torques causing a spindle break or resulting in a stuck guide bolt on the levelling spindle. The bearing pin of the isoloc construction counteracts against these forces or torques in the function of a "counter-bearing".

Machines with subconstructions without inherent stiffness or chained machine plants can thus be adjusted quickly and with greatest precision. Thus, machine shoes UMS reduce setup times by about 50 %.

Please note further:

The construction of the prolonged driving wedge of the machine shoes UMS ensures an even load on the whole surface of the check-rails and insulating panels, which are stressed by pressure, in contrast to conventional constructions.

The flat base enables a very solid support - even of beds that do not have an inherent stiffness - and should therefore be preferred to punctual bearing with adjusting screws.
