ISOLOC sprung
foundations are suitable for all machines and plants.
A sprung foundation insulation is in the furthermost sense every
vibration insulation that is not directly under the machine, but
under the machine foundation. Such a machine foundation is mostly
sunk in the floor in a foundation well (underground), but it can also be
above ground with smaller dimensions.
Purpose of a sprung foundation is mostly:
Improvement of the dynamic behaviour of a machine
By the additional mass of the concrete bloc and the ISOLOC vibration
insulation elements, improvements of the dynamic behaviour are achieved
with natural frequencies remaining the same compared to a directly
isolated machine: smaller amplitudes, the connected elements are
used less (tearing off), additional hardening of the machine, smaller
mass forces act on the components of the machine (longer life of
the bearings).
Increasement of the stability and torsion rigidity of a
machine
Certain machines/systems require the installation on a foundation
for hardening if a vibration insulation is provided. For this reason,
the elastic vibration insulation elements have to be placed under
the additional mass. By the foundation bloc also not torsion rigid
machines with very elastic, low-frequent ISOLOC vibration insulation
packs can be installed and isolated from vibrations.
Lower natural mounting frequency of the vibration insulation
Due to the increasement of the weight by the (elastically
mounted) additional mass and therefore the lower natural mounting
frequency with the same number of vibration insulation pads a higher
insulation grade is possible.

As protection against emissions
e. g. for presses, punches, air hammers, printing machines, ball
mills, forging machines, testing stands, turbines, broaching machines
and many others.
As protection against immissions
e. g. for measuring machines, grinding machines, precision fine-finishing
machines, microscopes as well as all machines and systems sensitive
to vibrations with the highest demand to precision.

Is this possible?
In order to achieve the required surfaces and tolerances in this
case either a source insulation of the press or a receiver insulation
of the precision fine-finishing machine is indispensable. The necessary
very low tuning of the insulation elements requires therefore a
sprung foundation.
