Ergonomic mats for standing jobs
Ergonomic working places reduce the nonproductive times and increase
safety at the place of work
Lack of movement and long standing make ill. Did you know that
30 % of the days of work-inability in Germany are caused by disorders
of the skeleton and the muscles? Correctly arranged working places
will counteract such syndromes and reduce the nonproductive times
in your enterprise.
So an ergonomicly optimized working place is an essential
factor for the economic success of your enterprise!
| Effects on health with mostly
standing activity: |
| Due to the static muscle work during standing the musculature
is flushed less. This reinforces signs of fatigue. |
| Long standing leads to unphysiological curvature of the spinal
column and to overloading of the intervertebral discs. |
| Lack of movement impedes the necessary metabolism between
intervertebral discs and vertebra bodies. |
| Long standing can also cause mutations of the ligaments and
joints at the hip, the knee and the foot. |
| Disturbances of the blood flow and metabolism as well as insufficient
muscle work of the legs impede a sufficient venous return of
the blood. This favours the development of varicoses. |
| Furthermore, lack of venous return of the blood can be expressed
by ache, tiredness, cramps in the calf, itching and heavy legs. |
In general, the mentioned effects are acute, i. e. reversible first.
However, they can become chronic in the long term as a consequence
of daily strain. |

How is it with working places with more movement?
Apart from the lower static strain, passive peak forces emerge
with movement at the working place. This happens when a foot is
put within a range of 1/100 second. Nerves and brain cannot transmit
this impulse to the muscles in this speed so that the impact is
transferred directly to the biomechanical effect chain.
| The effects of the consequences "static
load" and "passive peak forces" on the performance
of a employee and thus on the entire enterprise can be: |
| decreasing concentration and therefore higher danger of accidents. |
| decreasing motivation and work quality. |
| imminent costs by days of absence or illness or on the long
term by shorter working time of the employee. |
Increase therefore safety at work and motivation of your
employees by fatigueless standing with Isoloc-mats for standing
jobs. |
